Around the cookfire, talk of “heart skills” and attributes gives his path some rules—enough to turn intention into plan.

Training answers with friction. A new approach favors timing over force and precision over bravado, and an ambush in stone and shadow asks him to trust his footwork, his instincts, and his bond with his companion. By day’s end, “get stronger” isn’t a wish—it’s a style he can practice.
