So we're in a 10 episode series, DMN8 Your Market in 90 Days, a step-by-step guide to grow your revenue. It's a book I wrote back in September of 2019 for the sole purpose of helping home service business owners, rock the fricking market, dominate the mark, let's grow our business, right? So we're on chapter five, Skill Building - Service Videos. Service videos are important for social media, your website and to answer questions asked by your prospects. If you perform services that aren't physical, having a video describing what work is performed and how those services can help your prospect are just as important. The easiest way to develop a library of service videos is to show your work. Use your phone to record a service being performed at a customer's house. In these videos be very descriptive. In fact, there is no such thing as over-describing. Done correctly, these videos can make you money! To get started, write down a complete list of every service you provide. Continue by listing each component of the services and what is used to complete the service. If you have to use specialized equipment, products not available to the public or specific processes to complete the service, make sure you detail these actions. Unless a part of your service is proprietary to your success, show every piece of the process. Don't get caught up in concerning yourself with your "competition" stealing your ideas. More than likely, they know about your process and they think that their modification to the process gives them a leg up. Once you've completed these videos, you need to post them everywhere! This includes but isn't limited to your website, social media profiles. Ask your friends and family to share these videos to their profiles as well. Think you yourself as P.T. Barnum and you're trying to promote your company to anyone and everyone who will listen - these videos are a great way to promote you, your company and the services you provide. I'll say this, and I say it all the time. Video is the communication tool that will grow your business. Video. People love watching videos. And in fact, two and a half years later, videos are even more prevalent than they were then, we got things like reels, and oh my God, the dreaded TikTok, stories. The list goes on and on and on. Create video, create content, DMN8 the day.
