Normally when you're recording lines, if you're going to be shouting a lot you would turn down your gain so that you don't have any peaking, and when you're talking at a regular volume you would have it at a higher gain.

The problem with recording something long like an audiobook is that it isn't practical to change the gain throughout because it would add a lot of time to the recording and editing processes. So because of that when there is a lot of yelling like this you may hear some peaking because I don't have the time that adjusting the gain every couple of lines would require as I'm doing this entire audiobook in my free time (which is very strained at the moment) and entirely for free.
