There's a phenomenon called "mundanity", which is described as the quality of being mundane. When one's views of their own expectations are skewed, mundanity is oftentimes seen as a negative and oftentimes as a curse. But, mundanity is not set in stone. When one's definition of "mundane" changes, maybe mundanity is not as mundane as it once were.
