After their encounter with the Endseekers in the dockyards, Charles and Ava reconvene with William to further discuss some of their findings and learn more about the Endseekers. William meets with Sir Antoine Daumoinx to find out how he could proceed, but instead, he finds himself confronted by his past and offered an undesirable proposal by Daumoinx.
