When Meli was a child, she could hear and sense spirits around her, but she shut them out with her fear. As time went on, she found herself being drawn toward the edge of spirituality, only to back away again, shutting the door behind her. But then, in the midst of the chaos of raising a toddler, she came to a breaking point that pushed her to tiptoe into her spiritual gifts. What she found on the other side of the doorway surprised her and gave her answers to questions about her family, her life choices, and her contributions to the collective.
