Character matters! In chapter 3 of Colossians, Paul dispels, the Gnostic teaching that the flesh is evil and therefore, the deeds of the body are not important. Paul instructs the believers to put on Christ, that is the “new man” who is renewed in knowledge. But they were not to stop there, they were also to “put off” the “old man” that is rooted in carnality and flesh.
