I grew up in a large popular denomination church with a respect for God in the family but like most of us, I had some things I didn't want anyone to know. Sin will wear you down.  I always thought I had to clean myself up and give up things before I could approach God. Boy was I wrong. God is so  ready to receive you just as you are right now!
