Charlie DeGale.

Whenever I see his name, I cannot help but smile.

Charlie is a complete and utter bundle of positive energy and an incredible human being.

As a PT for the MetPolice in London, Charlie is no stranger to exercise, but shortly after turning 50, would notice a persistent cough.

Visits to his Dr and and Hospital would confirm the worst, he was diagnosed with Lung Cancer.
Various treatments and chemotherapy courses would ensue and after months and months of agonising treatment and surgery, would be given the all clear.

So with the news fresh in his mind, would decide to run a marathon (with chemotherapy drugs still in his system and a newly replaced hip).

Charlie has since raised thousands for Childhood Cancer Charities and is living his life to the maximum.
