Writer Charlie Hailey discusses his story, On Marjorie's Porch—a short personal essay about a winter morning outside the home of the Pulitzer Prize-winning author Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings.

Charlie Hailey teaches architecture at the University of Florida and is the author of six books, most recently The Porch: Meditations on the Edge of Nature.
