God is a God of process. We don’t like process. We want the promise but we don’t like the process that goes with the promise. God allows us to go through process. God takes us through process to get to the promise so that we can be healthy. Skipping the process produces something unhealthy, it’s not the fullness of the promise. God wants the fullness of the promise for your life. Jesus went through a process of 30 years before His ministry began. When you lay and surrender to God, and you trust the process He is taking you through, there is a promise on the other side, and what God promises will come to pass because He is faithful.
