This week on Chasing Eerie, I’m rating a horrifying novel, by Joe Hill, NOS4A2. This is our first horror book review. Typically, I’ll review movies, unless one really catches my attention and I have to share! I’ll be using the same 5 categories, to rate and review. Tune in to see how this one measures up.
In the Horror Hunter Community corkboard, I’ll reach way way back to an old show that is making a comeback, you don’t want to miss this. Then, I let you in on an immersive, scary new podcast that you don’t want to miss it's a complete radio play with actors and amazing sound effects.
Then for the weekly creepy tale, we encounter the ever-elusive, Wendigo, in The Last Backpacker. We follow a group of backpackers as they trek across the Alaskan wilderness. When they must deal with the catastrophe, we see how dangerous this creature can be. Have you ever encountered something like the Wendigo? If you have, I'd love to hear about it! This week on Chasing Eerie, I will be reviewing a Netflix original movie. Malevolent, it’s a movie about a team of paranormal scammers who like to put on a good show for their clients. Now, they have been brought to a location, unlike anything they’ve seen before. This place is real, this place will change them. We’ll see how this movie stacks up in the ratings.
In the Horror Hunter community corkboard, we have our first article submitted by one of our fellow hunters @PossumLimerickdad on Instagram! This is a creepy little story that comes out of Malaysia. Then, we’ll talk about a new video game that’s coming out this year. I couldn’t be more excited, and I can’t wait to talk to you about it!
Then we’ll meander into our Weekly Creepy Tale. This one will have you keeping the lights on all night, it revolves around a game, one that no one should ever play. Unless, of course, you’re looking to make a dramatic change to your personality, one that can never be undone.

In this week’s episode I’m doing a rated review on the tile/board game Betrayal at House on the Hill. It’s an incredible and frightening game where you get to explore a haunted mansion full of surprises, both good and bad! Tune in to see how this game held up to the Chasing Eerie rating process.
Then in the Horror Hunter community corkboard, I’ll let you in on some horror fan secrets to finding good scary movies for free! And I’ll clue you in to some amazing people on Instagram that are worth the follow. They are constantly putting out amazing content. One is a fantastic book reviewer and the other is handing out horror knowledge on a daily basis. You’ll love hanging out with these guys.
Then, for our Weekly Creepy Tale, I take you out to the suburbs of Chicago for a tale surrounding one of the city’s most famous of ghosts. Be sure to lock your car doors if you’re in the area. Well, maybe just keep those car doors locked wherever you’re driving. You never know what sinister being is lurking in dark alleys.

The First Episode of the Chasing Eerie podcast is live! I have been beyond excited to launch this podcast. The idea has been puttering around my brain for quite a while. Now, the time has come to share it with you. Chasing Eerie is a horror podcast that will be a new weekly favorite.
This week’s rated review is on As Above So Below a 2014 movie about a young woman’s search for the philosopher’s stone in the twisty tunnels under Paris. Where reality is bent by the depths of the catacombs.
In the Horror Hunters community corkboard, we’ll chat about new horror movies coming out in 2021 as well as a fun little horror game called Little Nightmares.
Then, for our Weekly Creepy tale we’ll venture to New London, CT to hear about The Haunting of New London Ledge’s Lighthouse.
I’ll post the pictures of the New London Ledge’s Lighthouse on Instagram.
