At age 37, Meg Mango lost the use of all four limbs. As she lay in a bed for two months at a rehab facility in NSW, it was thoughts of Darwin that pulled her through... Later, doctors suggested she return to the Top End where she'd find the best remedy for her condition: a dose of sunshine.

SPUN: True Stories Told in the Territory is a live storytelling event that showcases some of the extraordinary people and stories that make up the Northern Territory. Popping up at different venues across Darwin, working with a range of partner organisations with a different theme each time, SPUN brings to light stories from diverse backgrounds.
Meg's story was told at our event at the Michael Long Centre on International Women's Day in 2019 where the theme was BACKBONE.
