The penultimate episode, and what a crazy adventure it was. There was a lot of the debate online this week regarding the timeline and activity in this one and we do our best to address it here. We also say goodbye to two beloved show characters, Thoros of Myr and Viserion the dragon (we hardly knew you). They will be missed! Of course, we will see Viserion again but in an eviler form, which is exciting and scary.

This podcast is a weekly discussion regarding HBO's Game of Thrones series.  Jonathan and Charli will review the episode, compare it to the books and discuss how they feel it stacks up.

Welcome to the final episode of the season! 
As promised, this episode is a round table discussion of the final episode of Game of Thrones as well as an overall commentary on the season. At almost three hours long, it was a doozie to arrange and edit (hence the delayed posting). For this episode we welcomed back Johnny C (Jon 3), Jon Too, Julia, Charli and myself. The discussion got heated at times, especially between Charli and Johnny C, but by the end of the afternoon we all came away having had a great time talking about the show. 
This being the last episode of Game of Thrones, we don't yet know whether or not Chat of Ice and Fire will return, but until we do we want to thank you for tuning into our little show. We have really loved putting this podcast together and hope very much that you've enjoyed listening to it.

Chat of Ice and Fire: Season 8 Episode 6 - The Round Table

Welcome to episode 5 of the podcast for this season. This week I was joined again by Jon 2. It was a lively discussion, mainly focused on the internet rage over Dani's turn to the darkside. Jon 2 and I came down on the side of basically feeling that although the plot may have demanded she go bad, the turn in the show was unearned. The fanbase for the show was so incensed by this that they  have actually put out a petition to redo the entire season. At last count it had over 800,000 signatures. Personally Jon 2 and I feel this is a bit of an extreme response and feel that people need to just sit back and enjoy the ride for what it is.
That being said, I was not immune to feeling betrayed by the show and even went so far as to leave this episode a 2 star review on IMDB. I have since recalculated that rating to a 5 or 6, mainly due to the excellent acting, cinematography, and special effects that went into it. The question remains, can the show makeup for our collective irritation with the finale this Sunday? I really hope so.
