Chatham County Roundup: Elaina Young and Samantha Owusu on New Health Services in Siler City

Listen Later

97.9 The Hill’s Brighton McConnell speaks with Elaina Young and Samantha Owusu of the Chatham County Public Health Department on Wednesday, Nov. 12 to hear about new services launching soon at the department’s clinic in Siler City. Young, who is a public health social worker, details new clinicals for HIV prevention, Hepatitis C treatment and opioid use treatment. Owusu, who is a community health supervisor, brings some data to why these services are particularly important to the Chatham community and continue the county’s efforts to promote harm reduction methods. Finally, Young provides cost details (most of it free!) and how best to get in touch with the department to learn more.

This conversation is presented by the Chatham County Public Health Department.
