aaaaaaaand welcome back, again...
Join us as we reconnect for the first time on air in a while (life, what can you do) and get into it about Raj's first experience with an animal communicator, a very fast chestnut, and the fact that French parliament feels some of you need to be told to bring enough hay for your horses when you horse show *insert upside-down smiley face emoji*

Happy hacking !
Maaaaaybe this releases quarterly (lets not manifest that)
For those of you who've waited patiently for the release of our second episode since the the first hiatus, I need to ask another favor for you...
Raj got a computer (yay!) but she can barely use it (right on brand!) so the editing on this one is a bit rough.. add in the new studio and mic set up and dogs barking outside (that doesn't actually pick up in the audio but, don't worry, we stop the conversation to address it anyway)
We welcome our first guest since the hiatus, the wonderful Makyla Alexander- a local and total gem- to chat about her first clinic experience with Bernie at his clinic in April out our way.
This is a PROPER tackroom chat, so if that's what you come here for, get ready. We do have some cool ideas in the pipeline that we are so excited to share with all of you, so thanks for coming along on the ride.
we missed chatting & we promise the next episode won't be far away. If you look at our track record, the hiatuses are shorter as we go along.
Well, the title basically says it all lol
Join Raj and her new cohost, Carmen, as we take up the reins once again. Learn all about why Carmen is an awesome addition to the podcast, from her fitness background to what its like to own a horse in Alaska... this time of year.
Oh and mules too... basically this episode was a 40 ish minute trailer for the episodes we're hoping to lean into.
Thank you all Happy Hackers, we are so very glad to be back.
ride safe <3
All the way from Illinois, John Berkos joins us for a look into the hunter ring from his perch- erm... booth*
We talk about all sorts: what are your chances for a 100? Does a three whole digit score matter at the end of the day? What are some differences between dress and h/j judging?
You know what? stop reading & go listen to the episode... it's pretty freakin lit

pretty succinct title, yeah?
Very amateur-friendly rule changes, but do some of them lead us to a slippery slope? Raj thinks so.
Tune in to hear Emily explain Raj's point better than she can (:
Our Judge-centric episode recording is coming up, get your questions into us asap !

Join us on our recap.. thank you so much to anyone who waited through this (what felt like a) super long hiatus. Cali got the best of Raj, but she's home and we're ready to chat.
Here are some highlights followed up by some hints of the cool stuff to come ! Judges, hot takes, and a super funny cautionary tale about going out drinking with new friends (set multiple alarms)
welcome back happy hackers, we missed you <3
Welcome to our reread series !
Today we're diving into the first chapter of Denny Emerson's book/manual/bible "How Good Riders Get Good." The first of 9 chapters goes into a brief breakdown of the rest of the book and we discuss how we're feeling about it !
Raj goes on a slight monologue but its for the greater good, take it with some introspection. ANYWAY, another fun thing we cover (which we already unveiled to our Happy Hackers on the 'gram) is our upcoming interview with... Bernie Traurig ! *air horns*
If you would like to submit a question to pose to Bernie, email or DM us! We'd love your input (:

Head Happy Hackers sit down for a quick little catch up on some exciting things in the pipeline... Raj's countdown to Cali is almost in the single digits, we gab about some of our favorite riders en route to Tokyo, and touch on hunter breeding!
Short, sweet, and to the point... we are back and we are excited
Happy Monday, Happy Hackers (:
First and foremost, thank you Max Goodman for hooking us up with Paul and Justin. Max is an "og" (respectively, as we're still babies) Happy Hacker and immediately set up a dialogue between Paul and Raj to bring this episode to life.
there is no way this will be the last time you hear these guys on the pod... there's just too much content and it is just way too interesting.
We cover: who these wonderful horsemen are, how they are serving the community, and where to find them if you want to work with them directly. Additionally, and in complete dedication to Selene- a child of our immediate community who's recently suffered quite the equine accident- we talk about how to overcome a huge block that has plagued every rider at least a little, at least once: fear of injury.
We wrap up learning about Justin's work with feral horses in part with the Heart of Phoenix horse rescue and rehoming program.
Follow Justin's progress with his horse Scottie by following the Appalachian Trainer Face-Off on facebook

hope you enjoy the episode,
ride safe... happy hacking !
the title, honestly, just came to me... there wasn't any other option
enjoy what feels like (to me, Raj) a bonus episode because I thought we had lost all of the audio to the void once again.. but here we are :')
Today, we touch base a little bit, discuss some base issues behind spooking, the usefulness of a circle & we unveil some VERY exciting news ! Our next guest Paul Haefner of Riding Far LLC. Join us in the hack room, get pumped for the next episode, and enjoy a particularly informative Emil-onologue.
ride safe, happy hacking (:
