Chatting Supplements: Fat Burners (Magic Pills?!)

Normally they aren't labelled simply as "fat burners" but with names normally related to heat "Thermopure", "Complete Thermogenic" and even Bill with his latest announcement of "Primal Ash From Pompeii" (Patent pending) They'll also avoid using fat burner language and instead opt for "weight management" and "help in weight loss goals". They know there's a stigma so try to avoid using the word fat burner specifically yet when you google it these products are what come up. 

 

In this episode, we focus on directing some key ingredients that crop up in a lot of different "fat-burning" products.

  • Caffeine
  • Green Tea Extract
  • L-Carnitine
  • Cayenne Pepper Extract
  • Black Pepper
  • Other Buzzwords
  • We look at the current scientific evidence on each of these ingredients to see if they have a significant impact on fat loss and if it's worth the £25+ for a months supply.

     

    Before all that, though we break down the conventional way of losing fat which involves that commonly used buzz phrase "calorie deficit". As with all episodes in this series, before taking a health supplement it's important you consult your doctor first in case of any underlying health issues.
