Chatting Supplements: Pre-Workout

Listen Later

This week we get our pump on and talk all things pre-workout. We discuss our own pre-workout usage as well as some of the listeners. We then follow it up by taking a closer look at some common ingredients found in some well-known pre-workouts.

We focus on

  • Beta-alanine (Tingle city)
  • Caffeine
  • L-Citrulline/Citrulline malate
  • Taurine
  • Creatine
  • B-Vits
  • Bonus ingredients such as ElevATP
  • In regards to pre-workout inclusion, it's a bit of a mixed bag on this one. An example is a creatine. It's great if taken daily with the correct dosage but if you only consume creatine in your pre-workout and only use it on heavy sessions it's actually doing nothing at all due to it needing to be taken chronically for effect.

By the end, though you should be able to make a more informed decision which pre-workout will be best for you or if you need one at all!
