Chatting with Cheryl Baker

Listen Later

One of the most successful groups to come out of the Eurovision Song Contest, Bucks Fizz had chart success throughout the 80's following that 1981 win in Dublin, and who can forget that skirt ripping performance by Cheryl Baker & Jay Aston?

Cheryl chats about that win and also being part of Co-Co when they represented the UK three years earlier. Now part of the trio The Fizz (with Mike and Jay), she reveals insights into her successful singing career and the dreadful 1984 motorway crash on tour that almost ended their careers. She shares interesting anecdotes about working with Roy Castle on Record Breakers and with producer Mike Stock and their current album Smoke and Mirrors.

A podcast for all 80's fans everywhere!
