Former Radio One and Luxembourg DJ and presenter Mike Read knows all there is to know about radio but there's more to his repertoire than just spinning discs....

In this interview for the Beat, Mike chats about his passion for songwriters and some of the well-known names who have recorded his own songs. As well as writing a book about the British Plaque Trust, of which he helped start, there's new stuff he's written including London's Tin Pan Alley...Denmark Street.
