Cheap seats Luke 19:1-10

Listen Later

In Luke 19:1–10 we meet Zacchaeus, a man who refused to settle for a distant glimpse of Jesus. Unable to see over the crowd, he climbed a sycamore tree to get a better view. What began as curiosity turned into a life-changing encounter when Jesus stopped, called him by name, and invited himself into Zacchaeus’ home.

This story reminds us that Jesus didn’t come simply to make people behave better—he came to restore people into relationship with God. Whether Zacchaeus was a sinner in need of transformation or a misunderstood outsider, the deeper truth remains: Jesus is worth seeing, knowing, and following.

The challenge for us today is simple: don’t settle for the cheap seats when it comes to Jesus—and become the kind of people who help others see him clearly.
