He’s currently a student success advisor for the Office of Minority Student Affairs and a Ph.D. candidate in Education Policy, Organization, and Leadership at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He works directly with first-generation underrepresented college students and loves serving as a resource to students during their academic journey. His research is grounded in the qualitative method where he looks at the experiences of students and administrators involved in the TRIO Upward Bound program.
