In this video, we will be checking your understanding of American vowels using words that sound the same except for the vowel.  Vowels are very important in Standard American English because they can change the whole meaning of a word and sentence if you get them wrong. You must understand the vowel correctly to understand the correct word.  Also, you must say the vowel correctly for other people to understand the word.  Try it out and see how well you do with American vowels!
