On September 9th, 2023, in San Clemente, California, Caroline Marks won her first world championship title in professional surfing. She went up against Caity Simmers, the new kid on the block who secured Rookie of the Year in 2023; Tyler Wright, the world champion surfer from Australia who’s been competing on the CT since 2011; and finally, Carissa Moore, the Olympic gold medalist and 5x world champ.

Caroline’s stellar performance in San Clemente also secured her spot for the Summer games. In this bonus episode of season 1, host Peter Flax checks in with Caroline, to see how life has changed, or maybe, how it’s stayed the same, since becoming the world champion.
