Today’s Scripture:
2 Corinthians 9:6-7 NIV
Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
Family, the law of sowing and reaping is fundamental in the kingdom of God. Whatsoever a man does that shall he reap. We often think of this as cliche, but we now know that this is a factual truth. If you give love you reap love if you give jealousy you reap jealousy! There's no way around it. You receive based on what you sow.
What are we giving much of? And what are we giving little of? A farmer cannot sow cherries and reap grapes, that is not how it works in the system of planting and reaping. You will reap what you sow. There's no way around this law. It, therefore, beckons us to give wisely because if we do God will bless us from his abundant reservoir. That's cheerful Giving and God's abundant provision.
God sees what we do and from where we do it. If we give to get into someone's good book or for others to see what we are doing that is giving in the flesh. But if we give to help others and to serve God, we will experience his abundance in our lives. We will never beg for bread. God will bless our bread and our water.
Family, God loves a cheerful giver. Giving should always be from our hearts as an act of worship. When this is right God goes to any limit to bless us and provide for us. Why? Because the Bible says he loves a cheerful giver! Are you a cheerful giver? Or are you a taker and never think of others? If so God wants to remind us today, to give cheerfully and trust him to provide for us.
Trust your God today, and give cheerfully with your time, your smile, your kindness, and your love, and it will be given you in abundance from the God who never lacks or runs dry, his resources and provision are limitless.
