(July 13, 2019) Did you know that the first 8 minutes of your day, sets your brain up for the rest of your day? Did you also know that your emotions only last for 90 seconds in your nervous system unless you keep talking about them?
We are starting with a bang with my next beautiful guest. Chelsea Pottenger specialises in psychology and neuroscience. I discovered her through some girlfriends who had heard Chelsea give a talk and they were absolutely raving about this woman. I can now see why.
Chelsea guides me through some important and relevant subjects in this chat. She believes in the power of mindfulness and gives some powerful keys to find balance and have a healthy state of mind.
In a world full of pain, this is serious talk. As I watched this edit back, I was in tears. We really went there. A heads up for those about to watch - we hit the heavy stuff. Suicide, postnatal depression, parenting and mental health. It’s important to talk about what is happening around us, and more important to seek help if we are suffering. If nothing, when you tune into the conversation and you feel any of the things we talk about, don’t be alone. Reach out and find someone to talk to. You are loved and cherished.
Chelsea is, at her core, there to make this world a better place. One brain at a time. It was an honour to have her for tea.
