One year ago today, April 28th, I fell off of an electric bicycle. I was exploring the Capital Trail with Jon for our wedding anniversary(4/30) when I fell off the bicycle. The experience was one of the most traumatic experiences of my life.

What happened? I had a Grade 4 Liver Laceration, mild concussion, busted lip, and bruises on face and right side of my body.

From the ICU to my two-week recovery to months of being self-conscious about my busted lip to allowing God to do surgery on my heart, in this week’s chat I share three of the many lessons I have learned and am living out as a result of this accident. Do I wish I did not have to go through this challenge to learn the lesson? Absolutely. But, that isn’t my story. And, in the end, I praise God for healing AND revelation. We can know something yet the power in my story has been the HARD WORK I have had to and continue to put in for my freedom and purpose.
