You may have heard of the weed strain ChemDog, but you may not know ChemDog is also a person! In this episode, Brit talks to Greg “ChemDog” Krzanowski, the legendary grower behind one of the world's most important cultivars of marijuana. In the early 90s, when Chem's incredibly high-quality flower hit America’s underground market, pot growers across the nation used its genetics to produce less stringy, seed-ridden weed, marking the start of the so-called 'Kind-Bud' movement.

From Chem91 came some of the country's most iconic cannabis cultivars like Sour Diesel, OG Kush, Skywalker, Trainwreck, GMO, Northern Lights, Hindu Kush and Girl Scout Cookies. Now, he is one of Massachusetts’ most revered growers of legal marijuana, working above ground as head of cultivation at Canna Provisions in western Massachusetts (cannaprovisions.com).
