@chequeredpatterns prides himself for his genre diversity. As a producer, he caters to the artist's needs but an underlying hip-hop sampling style is evident in every track. In recent years, he has DJed at many popular clubs in Auckland with his trademark checkered clothing.

In 2019, his first placement hit over 100k views on the song Chasing The Bag - @emmanz1 & @wildkid_xo getting air-time on @mai_fm As a result of the lockdowns in 2020, Chequered Pattern$ found himself working with more artists than ever with help from the Te Karanga Trust program run by @churchxleon (@churchandap). This drove his motivation to share upcoming kiwi artists with the world. Near the end of the year, he was selected for the New Zealand Producer Series at @roundheadstudios , allowing him to learn from the best: @p_money, @sggooding, @surgerystudios and more. Since then, he has been working with @chhristabel , getting recognition from @basefm, @juicetvnz Muzik.net and @nzmusician.
