Chevel Shepherd, fresh off winning Season 15 of The Voice this past Tuesday, kicks off the show with thoughts on singing from age 2 and as a youngster, right through The Voice auditions and being crowned champion just a few days ago. She shares a bit about her faith in God and Christmas plans too. We air a couple of short clips from our interview earlier this week with J. Jackson, lead singer for the Christian parody band Apologetix, and play a couple songs from their Classics: Christmas CD including parodies of songs by the Beatles & Journey while giving away copies of the CD. Rounding out a good portion of the show, two for the price of one—Deborah Evans Price, that is, along with Liddy Clark. Price is an award-winning journalist and co-founder of the Country Faith series of books and CDs (www.countryfaith.com), while Clark is an up-and-coming singer/songwriter on the country music scene and is featured on the new Country Faith Christmas Vol 2 CD (available for download or physical copies exclusively at over 600 Cracker Barrel stores).
