Today we recapped scores and stats from around the world of CFB including a more in depth look at Pitt edging out Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, and BYU squeaking out a win over TCU. In our breaking CFB news segment we highlighted the continual push for a 24 team playoff and how close it may be, the week 6 AP poll, Heisman trophy odds and favorites, NIL and player news, as well as key coaching changes. In our games of the week we ran through picks by yours truly and the dreaded AI bot!

Week 5 is upon us! Today we recapped some scores and stats from week 4 action including Florida upsetting the Rebels in Gainesville, Oregon stunning USC in the coliseum, Alabama rolling South Carolina in Tuscaloosa, and much more. In our CFB news segment, we discussed injuries, NIL, recruiting, and transfer portal, Tennessee offering happy hour all year long, Protect College Sports Act passing in the House of Representatives, CFP expansion, etc. Lastly we rattled off picks by myself and the AI bot in our games of the week!

Hello and Happy Friday! Welcome to CHEW'S CHALK TALK your weekly podcast on the greatest sport on the PLANET: College Football (CFB)! Whether this is your first taste of CFB or you are an avid fanatic and listener please enjoy!

Today we rattled off some scores from around the world of CFB including: Texas Tech holding off Houston in a Big 12 clash, Bama storming back vs Florida State, Kentucky upsetting the Aggies of Texas A&M in College Station, Ole Miss exacting vengeance and revenge over Lane Kiffin and LSU, etc. Next we discussed news from around the world of CFB, with injuries updates, NIL and player eligibility, coaching rumors and milestones, and just some good ole appreciation for the sport. Lastly in our Games of the Week I made my picks for 6 games of my choosing and followed up by the dreaded AI bots picks.

Week 3 and the Lane Kiffin revenge game has arrived!!!

Today we recapped scores and stats from week 2 including: Texas's huge comeback win over the Ohio State Buckeyes, the Bison of North Dakota State stampeding on to 3-0, Oregon falling to Oklahoma State in Stillwater, Boston College with a moving victory in the Red Bandanna game over Rutgers, etc. In our CFB news segment we discussed the new AP poll, *hopefully wrapped up the LSU and former professional players saga, the CFP looking toward 24 teams in the playoff, jersey and helmet homages out of Central Michigan and Navy, ESPN under political fire, and much more! Lastly, in our Games of the Week we had picks in 6 key games by yours truly and the dreaded AI bot.

Week 2 is here! Today we recapped some scores and stats from week 1 including a tiger on tiger massacre of LSU over Clemson in Baton Rouge, Ole Miss hanging on to defeat Louisville, Auburn making a goal line stop to defeat Baylor, and much more. In CFB news we discussed the ongoing litigation of former pros coming back to college sports and the ramifications surrounding LSU, some bites and food from around CFB stadiums, NIL and deals, uniform combos for this week's games, SEC laying out their guidelines/wishlist for a 24 team playoff scenario, etc. Lastly, we rattled off our games of the week followed by Chew's and the AI Bot's picks!

Today we continued our law school path of learning the legal cases and battles happening with NFL and professional athletes returning to college sports. Lane Kiffin and LSU are at the center and the SEC is not backing down. In other news we discussed the change to the CFB calendar for the 2027 season, NIL and deals, player and coaching news, Akron's offensive coordinator sweepstakes, scheduling and TV rights, fan attendance a problem for the Trojans, and much more! Lastly, we ran through our games of the week followed by Chew's picks and those by the dreaded AI bot.

Week 0 is here!!!!! COLLEGE FOOTBALL IS BACK!

Today we dove into the earth-shattering news of professional players being allowed back to play CFB and other college sports. We discussed the origins all the way up to the daily new information and decisions being laid out. Also in relevant news we mentioned the tough love between Jayden Daniels and LSU over the use of the #5 jersey. We talked scheduling and lack of competition for the defending champs as well as network tv crews and destinations for college kickoff crews. Lastly we ran through odds regarding the national championship, Heisman, and conference champions along with picks/predictions for all of the above by yours truly!

CFB SEASON IS NEAR!!!!! Welcome back all to the 6th season of Chew's Chalk Talk.

We are 8 days from week 0 and boy do we have a bunch to chat about. Today we discussed the updated field of 138 FBS schools and some conference realignment. Next we transitioned to rule changes for the 2026-2027 season with some key points of emphasis. As always, transfers and NIL took center stage with ingenious and revolutionary changes to college sports as a whole. Lastly we dove into the new 5 in 5 age-based eligibility model and a proposal to shorten the transfer portal window.

The sensational college football season has come to a close! With the cinderella story concluding with the Indiana Hoosiers as the national champions of CFB! What a season and what a year to Coach Curt Cignetti and the boys from Bloomington, hats off to the Hurricanes as well, hell of a run. Today we recapped the natty and highlighted the historic 16-0 season of the Hoosiers, we gave our flowers to Coach Cig, Fernando, and all of Hoosier Nation. In a loaded CFB News segment we discussed the final AP poll, the CFP remaining at 12 teams, North Dakota State University joining FBS, the new Mountain West and PAC 12 conferences, commercial patches on college jerseys starting August 1st, BIG 10 wanting to ban prop bets, Transfer Portal, Coaching Carousel, Recruiting Madness, and so much more!

THE SUN IS SETTING ON THE CFB SEASON. TONIGHT THE WHOLE SEASON CULMINATES TO ONE GAME!!! Today we discussed the National Championship. First we broke down the 2 CFP semi-final games and highlighted the huge wins by the Miami Hurricanes and Indiana Hoosiers. Next in our CFB News segment we ran through viewership and the rise in popularity of CFB, the push for more teams in the CFP and the conferences behind it, conference bowl and CFP records. We gave flowers to the winners of the FCS National Championship: the Montana State Bobcats. We dove into the transfer portal, players going elsewhere, players returning, coach's thoughts on the transfer portal, how teams are faring this portal window, coaching hires, etc. Last but not least in our Game of the Week we had Chew's pick vs the pick of the dreaded AI Bot.
