The Colts have lost 11 straight games in Jacksonville; their last win there was on Sept. 21, 2014, when Andrew Luck threw for 370 yards and four touchdowns in a 44-17 win over the Jaguars. Broncos HC Sean Payton becomes only the 19th coach in NFL history to coach in 300 regular-season games today. There is interest in Cardinals OLB Josh Sweat. Saints first-round pick Jordyn Tyson could return from the hamstring injury that has sidelined him as early as next week vs. the Browns. Lamar Jackson has been ruled out with a right thumb injury, and Ravens QB Lamar Jackson needs thumb surgery and will be placed on injured reserve. And the NBA reports that Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards will undergo an arthroscopic procedure on his ailing right knee and miss up to two months. Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton has sustained a left hamstring strain and will miss time. The New York Knicks plan to decline P.J. Dadiet's fourth-year option worth $5.37 million. This creates salary space on the Knicks' books for next season and will make Dadiet an unrestricted free agent in June, when both sides could still discuss a reunion. The Oklahoma City Thunder are signing forward Ochai Agbaji, filling their open roster spot. An NFL spokesman said the league is investigating the situation surrounding former Titans DT Jordan Elliott, who was released after he brought a gun to the team's training facility. If a violation is found while he's not on a team, Elliott could serve a suspension as a free agent. Hearing officer James Thrash, jointly appointed by the NFL and the NFLPA, has reduced the discipline of Bills S Sam Franklin from a one-game suspension to a fine of $14,926 for unsportsmanlike conduct. Bucs HC Todd Bowles told reporters that Baker Mayfield "looks like he's ready to go," and he now is expected to start Sunday vs. the Panthers.
