Chicago-area rabbis reflect on potential ceasefire between Israel and Hamas

Negotiators for Israel and Hamas announced plans for a six-week ceasefire that would stop the fighting in Gaza, return 33 hostages to Israel and release around a thousand Palestinian detainees from Israeli prisons.
The tentative agreement would also allow more humanitarian aid to flow into Gaza and clear a path for displaced Gazans to return to their homes in the north.
However, less than a day after the deal was announced, its future remained uncertain after comments from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu accusing Hamas of not acting in good faith. Hamas leaders denied that was the case.
