Ken Workman, from the Duwamish Tribe, is the Great-Great-Great-Great Grandson of Chief Si’ahl, colonially known as Chief Seattle, after whom Seattle is named. I had the privilege of talking to Ken and sharing his wisdom. The Duwamish Tribe has been fighting for federal recognition through multiple presidential administrations for more than 40 years.
