Chien-Shuing Wu was a world-renowned physicist whose career spanned five decades. She emigrated from China to the United States in the 1930s, where she pursued her education at UC Berkeley, later becoming a full professor at Columbia University. She was well-known for her work in beta decay and subatomic physics, and has often been called the "Chinese Marie Curie."
