Proverbs 18:21 says, “Life and death are in the power of the tongue.” That means we can’t afford to be careless with our words. We can’t afford to not know the context or meaning of the words we choose to use. Because they have the ability to encourage and empower… or discourage and enslave. Because people can begin wearing a word like a mantle, unconsciously embodying its very characteristics.
