I draw a line in the sand when children are abused.
Often adults who have been abused as children or even as adults become the abuser.
Sometimes that abuse is facilitated by addictions and while I can have empathy for the victim they once were, the moment the line is crossed and children become their victims of neglect or worse, my focus turns to the children and in getting them the help they need. Period.
