Children's Corner: "Red is the Color of ....."  with author Tiffany Haisten

Tiffany is a former elementary school teacher, mother, and a survivor of bullying. As a former teacher, she saw children struggle with self acceptance; especially after being bullied. It seemed to her that no one addressed the after effects of bullying, they only addressed the cause or root - the bully themselves.  Tiffany wanted her own students to understand their worth. She wanted them to know that what makes them different makes them special.

Tiffany's new children's book called "Red is the Color of…" is a story based on her own personal experience as a child who was made to feel different than others; it is a story that most children and adults can identify with. The story is about how we as adults can change the perspective of a child's heart - heal those scars - after our child has been confronted with bullying.
