We discuss the importance of storytelling when communicating with academic and policy stakeholders ("data makes you credible but stories make you memorable"), and the nuance that gets lost in recommendations focused on the quantity of screen time.


Doug Piper is a PhD candidate in Psychology at Georgetown University concentrating in Human Development and Public Policy. He is an expert in children's play and media use.
