MICROTONAL SONG:
“Bell-Shaped Void in a Neon Abyss” is in ZESTER C (8 Harmonic six-star, group C on Eb, from Fokker)

CREDITS
NOTES:
For the very ELP lead sounds, I used the first preset on two VSTs I made, “Shiny Dirt” and “Lucky Worm.”
On the one microtonal song, I used the same samples but use the VST I made, “Simple Microtonal Sampler”
FLAC LOSSLESS 24-bit torrent of “POLYPHONIC TOAD MIGRATION” – Album 104 and 105 from BipTunia
There’s also some Taurus bass pedal on some songs, and a Rickenbacker bass guitar, an organ on a couple songs, and a piano.
There is no AI music on this album, it is all human-produced by Michael W. Dean.
AI was used for a few of the song titles. (Prompt “give me 100 song titles that would fit for the music project BipTunia, and have something to do with bells, clang, or chime”)
“Twilight Soundscapes for Cat Dinner Bell and Crickets”
It’s noisy / clangy, but kind of musical.
I hit it and recorded it, around twilight outside, you hear a clang, then crickets in our yard. I made that into a sample for “Pretty Good Sampler.”
First thing you hear in this song is as it really sounds at the real pitch. The rest of the song is 4 tracks of it played with an MPC just as MIDI imput. (One track has an effect I made, “Orion Ring Mod”). Plus the song has some drums, synth bass (“Sine” preset on Pretty Good Sampler), and strings (“Strings” preset on Pretty Good Sampler).
It’s kind of harsh, but I kind of love it.
I also used this sample in the songs “Clang of the Cosmic Junkyard”, “Clangor in the Circuit Swamp”, “Cavernous Chords from Clouds of Spores”, “Bell-Shaped Void in a Neon Abyss”, and “Toadstool Tunes for Twilight Caves.”
Album makes extensive use of the free VST “Pretty Good Sampler” and its default samples. Also there’s a lot of use of 3 other VSTs I made and give away: Microtone 5000, FreakBone 9000, and Simple Microtonal Sampler. I used a keyboard on the jazz piano chords on 2 songs.
