Might Be Okay For Children...Maybe
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
Was this meant for grade school children? If so, I guess it might be okay. But I was hoping for something geared toward intelligent adults.
Would you ever listen to anything by Adam Brown again?
I honestly don't know. I couldn't get past the first ten minutes.
Would you be willing to try another one of Sarah Moores performances?
No. Not at all.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
This was definitely not the book I was hoping for. It's stylistically elementary, and the narration sounds more like it belongs in a first-grade classroom than in a serious, engaged book about Asian history. Listening to it is like sitting in one of those horrible history classes back in grade school. Ick.
