Shen Yun is a classical Chinese dance troupe based in upstate New York dedicated to showcasing traditional culture, faces bomb threats and violent emails on a daily basis, often linked to the Chinese Communist Party. Shen Yun was created to revive China’s traditions—showcasing its beauty before communism. Now, reports indicate that the CCP is influencing mainstream media and regulatory agencies to push its agenda—a strategy that could be used against any institution in the future. You can see why Shen Yun is being targeted so aggressively in my opening video, the group receives very high praise for its accurate depiction of Chinese art and traditions before Communism at every venue it performs at around the world and the CCP will do everything it can to prevent that.
