Tweenty One year old, Chinye’ Tavie’, has the lyrical skills of a veteran performer and voice reminisce of the multi-platinum artist Lil’ Kim, but with the around the way (girl) persona. Her first CD, “Ahead of the Game”, relates to her experience as a girl on the cusp of womanhood, navigating the after turbulent water of adolescence. As the daughter of a music producer and also one of the members of the legendary group “Lakeside”, Chinye’ was exposed to the music industry at a young age. With the strong desire to perform and inspired by the likes of 2 Pac, Snoop Dogg and Da Brat, Chinye’ easily gravitated toward the sounds of Rap and Hip Hop.
