Charles K. Hopkins was convicted of armed robbery and murder almost 50 years ago at the age of 20. He was incarcerated for 48 years and was released in December 2019. His first 30 years in prison, Charles was rebellious and spent a years of his sentence in solidary confinement. When he was granted the opportunity to move to a county prison in anticipation of a retrial, he felt the Holy Spirit nudging him. Charles has since committed his life to Christ and has been chiseled into the human being that he says he is happy with today. He feels his purpose is to serve God and plans on doing so the rest of his life. Not only does Charles share his story and reveal the incredible obstacles to survival in a system that he says is not interested in rehabilitation but merely confinement, but also he gives us incredible nuggets of wisdom that we can use in our lives no matter how successful we've been.
