In this session, I introduce several foundational challenges in how we understand causation, free will, and explainable AI. These challenges range from contradictions in XAI and the collapse of fairness under proxies, to the tension between neuroscience and free will, as well as legal and philosophical questions about agency and responsibility.
This session serves as the opening to a deeper series that will continue in the coming weeks.
