Episode 24—Choose Your Battles

Have you ever felt so exhausted you just couldn’t go on, but then you went on anyway? Let’s dig into the Word and see how God helps us choose our battles. Today’s Bible encouragement reveals God wants to help you choose your battles so you live a balanced and healthy life.

About your Host—Annie Yorty

Wife, mother, writer, and speaker, Annie encourages those living through difficult situations to perceive God. Embracing the task of advocacy after the birth of her first child, who has Down syndrome, Annie has led both disability and homeschool organizations for over thirty years to promote understanding and acceptance for individuals with intellectual disabilities. In particular, she loves to connect with other ordinary moms of extraordinary kids.

Annie and her high school sweetheart/Air Force veteran husband, Jeff, have two grown children and one still in process. (Isn’t everyone, really?) Despite significant challenges, her favorite global mission destination is Siberia in February, but she’ll go anywhere God opens the door. She delights in anything crafty or creative except sewing, which she merely tolerates. Annie wishes she had more time to read, learn the piano, crochet, and practice Russian. Her furry beast (aka labradoodle) would like her to spend more time teaching him new tricks.
