Abundant life; it sure sounds good! How do I get there? We have to learn how to run on the highest-level operating system available to human beings in order to have this abundant life. How do we do that? There are some key insights we’ll need to learn. We unpack the first of those insights in today’s episode: which operating system is currently running us, how it got in us, and how we can upgrade to the highest-level operating system. When you’re really longing to feel God, maybe even desperate to feel Him, you want to know how to feel Him and fully understand what may be blocking you from feeling Him if you don’t. Oh, the number of scriptures God gives us so that we may be equipped to both know how to feel Him and exactly what to look for and do if we don’t! He desires that you feel Him more than you desire it! Come learn how to feel Him, remove what is blocking you from feeling Him, and receive His training so you can feel His presence always.

I want to feel Him, but when I try to talk with Him, it feels like I’m hitting a brick wall. What should I do when the presence of God seems impossible to find? Oh, how He longs to be felt by you! And thankfully, His word teaches us how to find Him and how to feel Him when He seems so far away. He longs to be reached by you! He longs to dwell with you all of the time. Come listen to His words as they gently guide us into finding and feeling Him. He’s a God who wants to be found; His deepest desire is love and oneness. 

Do you long to feel God? He longs to be felt! He longs to be one with you. His word teaches us that He longs to be in every fiber of our being that processes the ability to feel - heart, soul, mind, body, spirit, and relationships. In fact, there is no part of you that God does not desire to be in so you feel His presence all of the time. So, why can’t we feel Him? Come hear what His word teaches us about what keeps us from feeling His presence and what we need to do so that we can. He can’t wait for you to feel Him! 

When you long to feel God but don’t, we can tend to conclude that God withholds His presence for very special moments and special people. Our lack of experiencing His presence all too often leads to beliefs about God that are inaccurate and dangerous. God wants you to feel Him, feel Him in more ways than you have dreamed, and feel Him more consistently than you could imagine. His desire to share His presence with you will blow your mind. So, why can’t you feel Him? Let’s talk about it.  

When we want to feel God’s presence but don’t, we wonder, “Where is God?” Our lack of feeling Him often leads us to think He is far away, hard to find, or unwilling to be found. All too often, we go on to think and then form beliefs that are actually lies. “God must be playing hard-to-get,” we think. Thoughts like these could not be farther from the truth of who God is or what He wants! He is very, very easy to find. He is very close to you, no matter where you are. You only need to hear His words, discussed in today’s episode, to know where you will find Him.

If you long to feel God, today’s episode will greatly encourage and help you! God wants you to feel Him even more than you want to. He wants you to feel Him in every part of your being that is capable of feeling - your heart, your soul, your mind, and your body. He not only wants you to feel Him in all your parts, but He also wants you to feel Him in all those parts all of the time. We just have to learn how to let Him in. Thanks be to God, His word teaches us how we can feel His presence and what is blocking us from feeling Him.

Are you running on the higher-level operating system? Today, we find the greatest teacher of all time, Jesus Christ, sharing this answer with us amid a tense, emotionally charged moment he had with one of his closest disciples. In the story, we see Jesus gently guiding His disciple through the cut-over from his previous operating system to the highest-level operating system. And as the cut-over is taking place, Jesus shares three times what the disciple will be doing when he runs on the highest-level operating system. Join them so that you can learn, too.

How could you know for sure that you’re running on the higher-level operating system? Today, we find Jesus answering this question by telling a remarkable story. We even get clarification and more detail, as the person hearing the story asked Jesus a question about the gray area around this operating system. Jesus’ answer to the question and his story provide both clarity and a profound sense of Jesus heart for all of us to run on the higher-level operating system. Because Jesus knew this operating system would lead to a whole new life, what he called an “abundant life.”

How did Jesus know if someone had the highest-level operating system? Where did He look? We find Jesus again today out among people, teaching them about the highest-level operating system so they could know if they were running on it. For Jesus, this was a teaching He wanted everyone to know with absolute certainty and have no doubt about. Like a skilled technician or mechanic, Jesus opens up the human being and their operating systems via crystal-clear teaching, pointing out how each piece works. It mattered greatly to Him.
