In the passage for today Jesus sends out His disciples into the world to proclaim the good news to all peoples. He gave them important instructions to adhere to as they began their missions. Today, we are all called to be missionaries as part of our baptismal commitment just as Jesus did 2000 years ago. The church also commemorates this day as a memorial to St. Maria Goretti.
