This week’s guest is my friend, illustrator Chris Piascik, we sat down on New Year’s day and talked about how he got started as a freelance illustrator. It's a story I think many creatives can relate to if you substitute your passion for drawing: Chris originally went to work as a designer and found that he missed drawing too much to not do it full-time. After imposing a drawing a day project in 2007, and subsequently getting side work because of it he realized it was time to take a leap into freelance. We talk about this transition, Chris’ incredibly successful Kickstarter, dealing with getting your work counterfeited and stolen, staying focused on your work, and much more.
