The Tim DeMoss Show Podcast

Chris Stigall (Philadelphia's AM 990 The Answer), WFIL's Ted Winkler + Carman (rare vault audio)

Listen Later

"There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven: a time to be born and a time to die..." [Ecclesiastes 3:1-2]. Today's show touches on this on several fronts.

Morning host on WFIL's sister station (Philadelphia's AM 990 The Answer) Chris Stigall stops in-studio to share thoughts on the passing of his broadcast hero, Rush Limbaugh (who got his start in Kansas City, where Chris is originally from).

Audio from the 76ers media post-shootaround session with Dwight Howard is featured, including touching details of the recent passing of his 97-year old grandmother Gussie Patrick Howard.

Tim also presents an interview from November 2000 that he did with Trenton, NJ's Carman Licciardello (simply known as "Carman") who graduated to glory just yesterday. Carman, known for an extremely diverse style, is perhaps best-known for epic songs like "The Champion," "Revival In The Land," "Satan, Bite The Dust," "Great God," and "America Again." Other songs he is known for include "Sunday School Rock," "Who's In The House," "Revive Us Oh Lord" and "Mission 3:16" among others.

The show also features WFIL's Ted Winkler, celebrating his birthday in part by doing what he has done for close to three decades--coming to work :). Ted stops in-studio to share a nice mix of his radio background (including how he came to WFIL) and experiences he has had along the way. You'll hear Ted overnights Friday into Saturday and Saturday into Sunday, as well as "tagging" many of the promos for various ministries on WFIL.
